The MVP is back!

Alejandro Pozuelo reintroduced himself to the Starting XI in a big way on Saturday night, powering a Toronto FC second half comeback to earn a hard-fought point against New York City FC at BMO Field.

After battling through injuries for the majority of the season, the Spaniard returned to the starting lineup and proved to be the driving force for the Reds, recording a goal and assist to earn the 2-2 come-from-behind result.

The 2020 MLS MVP kickstarted the comeback effort just four minutes into the second half, driving forward before slipping Richie Laryea in on goal in front of the Southend to cut the deficit in half.

Pozuelo secured the result for the Reds just five minutes later, finishing off a lovely team move started by substitutes Ralph Priso and Ifunanyachi Achara.
