Academy To Play Colo Colo

Toronto FC Academy’s Senior Team will play Chilean soccer giant Colo Colo in a friendly match on Tuesday, June 29th at Wilfrid Laurier University Stadium in Waterloo. Kick off is 7:35 p.m.

Colo-Colo are currently in Canada holding their pre-season training camp in Edmonton and recently played Canada's newest professional soccer club, FC Edmonton in a friendly on Father’s Day, winning 4-3 at Commonwealth Stadium.

It is a great opportunity for the young Reds to face a club ranked as one of the top thirty in the world. Colo-Colo has won a total of 46 titles, including 39 national tournaments and three international championships. They have won a record 29 Primera Division de Chile championships and are the only Chilean club to have won the Copa Libertadores de America (in 1991). They are also the only Chilean club to have played in every season of the Primera Division.

Colo-Colo’s home stadium is Monumental, which is in the community of Macul within the city of Santiago.

Tickets for the match at Wilfrid Laurier University Stadium are available at a special discounted price for Toronto FC supporters. For information, click here.
