The Canadian Soccer Association announced Friday the complete schedule for the 2014 Amway Canadian Championship. Toronto FC will face Vancouver Whitecaps FC in a two-leg semi-final match-up. The first leg will take place in Toronto on Wednesday, May 7, with the second leg in Vancouver on Wednesday, May 14.
The 2014 Amway Canadian Championship will mark the seventh tournament in its history. Toronto FC won four consecutive Canadian Championships (’09, ’10, ’11, ’12). Montreal Impact have won the tournament twice (’08, ’13). This year’s tournament marks the first for NASL club, Ottawa Fury FC. Ottawa will play FC Edmonton in a two leg preliminary knock-out. The winner will secure fourth place and face the Montreal Impact in the other semi-final.
The final legs are set for Wednesday, May 28 and Wednesday, June 4. The winner of the tournament will represent Canada in the 2014-15 CONCACAF Champions League.
