TFC visits SickKids Hospital

The Hospital for Sick Children welcomed Toronto FC on October 11th for the club’s 12th annual full team visit. Following training, the team travelled to the hospital to participate in one of their favorite team activities of the year. Players split up into groups and visited every patient in the hospital, giving out gift packs, signing autographs and taking photos.


TFC Kickstart 2018

TFC Kickstart 2018

On August 22nd, the full team participated in the launch of the MLSE Foundation Kickstart Program. Kickstart is a free eight-week soccer program happening in 16 Toronto Community Housing Communities. The program teaches introductory soccer skills and encourages youth to adopt attitudes of fair play and team work. The initiative helps bring communities together, encourages physical literacy and sport. The players were on hand to kick off the program at BMO Training Ground with over 300 youth from Kickstart.


TFC Special Olympics Unified Exchange Program

For the second consecutive year, Toronto FC proudly partnered with Special Olympics Ontario and participated in the Unified Exchange program. This program is the cornerstone of the Special Olympics Unified Sports initiative in partnership with Major League Soccer and ESPN that leverages the power of sport to promote an environment of social inclusion. On July 20th, our team travelled to Chicago to face off against Special Olympics Illinois, stayed to cheer on the first team as they defeated the Chicago Fire. Prior to the trip, the team attended BMO Training Ground for several training sessions and to receive their custom Toronto FC kits.
