Registration Closes July 25th, 2023 at 12:00PM EST.

Male athletes born from 2005 to 2010.

Must be a permanent resident or citizen of Canada and currently living within one of the following Canadian Provinces/Territories:

• Ontario
• New Brunswick
• Nova Scotia
• Prince Edward Island
• Newfoundland
• Yukon Territory
• Northwest Territories
• Nunavut

Must be currently registered with a non-OPDL club or unattached.

• Those currently registered to an Ontario Player Development League (OPDL) team are not eligible for this event as OPDL players will be scouted/identified through the Provincial Screening and through the Club’s premier partnership with Ontario Soccer.

Please note that due to the volume of interest, only those that meet player eligibility standards will be contacted. Club Technical Directors and Coaching Staff may also recommend players by contacting Academy@TorontoFC.ca.

What type of attire should be worn at open tryouts?
Athletes should be dressed in their regular training gear (top, shorts, socks, shin pads, cleats). Pinnies will be provided upon arrival in order to differentiate athletes.

What type of field will they be training on?
The tryouts will be held on an outdoor turf or grass field.

Will spectators be allowed during the sessions?
Open Tryouts will be closed to spectators in order to ensure a fair and professional environment for all athletes.

When can we expect to hear back regarding our progress?
The first set of releases will be done the evening of Wednesday, August 2^nd. The second set of releases will be done the evening of Friday, August 4^th.

Will there be another opportunity to tryout?
Open Tryouts are conducted once a year, however the club encourages everyone to remain active in participating with their local clubs.

Is there a fee associated with trying out or joining the Academy?
There is no fee associated with open tryouts. There is also no fee required from athletes once they are in the Academy.
