Toronto FC II announced that the club has signed midfielder Nicolas Ovalle to a USL contract. Ovalle will join the club’s roster pending league and federation approval.  

Ovalle, 20, most recently played for the U-19 team of Unión Española, where he participated in the Chilean Football Youth League during the 2018 and 2019 seasons. Before joining the Chilean club, he spent three years with the Real Salt Lake-AZ, where he represented the U-15/16 team at the U.S. Soccer Development Academy (USSDA).

Internationally, Ovalle represented Chile at the youth level. He was on the preliminary roster for the FIFA U-17 World Cup 2017.
