Toronto FC midfielder Liam Fraser has been named to the Major League Soccer roster for the 2018 MLS Homegrown Game presented by Energizer. The MLS squad will meet Tigres UANL, the reigning Mexican league’s Under-20 champion, in the fifth annual Homegrown Game. The match will be held on Tuesday, July 31 at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Training Ground. Kick-off is set for 8:00 p.m. ET.

Fraser is currently in his first season with Toronto FC. This past January, he became the 16th player in club history to sign for the first team from the Toronto FC Academy. Fraser has split time between Toronto FC and Toronto FC II this season. With Toronto FC, he has made seven appearances during MLS league matches. He made his Toronto FC and MLS debut on April 14 against the Colorado Rapids. As a member of Toronto FC II, he has appeared and started in three matches.

This marks Fraser’s first MLS Homegrown Game. He joins Ashtone Morgan (2014), Jay Chapman (2015 & 2016) and Jordan Hamilton (2016 & 2017) on Toronto FC’s all-time MLS Homegrown Game player list.
