Match Recap: Toronto FC II vs. Louisville City FC

Shaan Hundal’s second-half strike powered the Young Reds to a victory over the East-leading Louisville City FC.

The visitors controlled the run of play for the majority of the first half but Angelo Cavalluzzo and the Reds' backline held strong.

Play picked up late in the second half with Cavalluzzo coming up with an athletic stop off a Lou City free kick.

Cavalluzzo was called into action once again coming up with a sure Save of the Week nomination picking the ball out of the corner to keep Lou City off the board.

Hundal opened the scoring in the 73rd as Jordan McCrary sent in the forward, who had timed his run perfectly. Hundal broke in and slipped his fourth goal of the year into the bottom left.

The Young Reds did well to hold off the first place Lou City attack and sent the 725 fans in attendance home happy.

Next up for the Young Reds is a Friday night showdown against Bethlehem Steel FC at the Ontario Soccer Centre. The penultimate match of the season on October 6th at 7:30 PM.
