Toronto FC sign Liechtenstein International Nicolas Hasler

Toronto FC announced Thursday that the club has signed Swiss League veteran and Liechtenstein international right wing back Nicolas Hasler. He will be added to the roster upon receipt of his International Transfer Certificate (ITC) and his Canadian work permit.

“Nicolas is an experienced and valued member of his national team playing in Euro and World Cup qualifiers. In addition to his club and international experience, Nicolas is a versatile player with valuable experience at right back,” said Toronto FC General Manager Tim Bezbatchenko. “We are pleased to bring Nicolas to Toronto FC. He will be a welcomed addition to our group and provide greater depth for our club.”

Hasler, 26, spent majority of his career (2011–2017) with Fussball Club Vaduz (FC Vaduz) where he made 157 appearances, scoring 14 goals and adding six assists in all competitions. Hasler’s time with FC Vaduz was highlighted by being named the Liechtensteiner Footballer of the Year in 2015.
