Toronto FC II announced Friday that the club has signed defender Jelani Peters to a USL contract.

Peters, 23, has appeared in two matches for Toronto FC II this season. He made his TFC II debut on April 7 against the Rochester Rhinos. Peters was originally acquired on loan earlier this season from W Connection F.C. of the Trinidad & Tobago Pro League. With W Connection F.C., he made a combined 22 appearances across league play and the CONCACAF Champions League.
