Toronto FC announced today that the club has transferred forward Deandre Kerr to Liga Portugal 2 side AVS Futebol SAD (Second Division) on a permanent transfer, with TFC retaining a future sell-on percentage.

“We would like to thank Deandre for his contributions over the past few years, as well as thank the Kerr family for their efforts and commitment to TFC from his Academy days through our First Team,” said Toronto FC General Manager Jason Hernandez. “We wish Deandre all the best in the next chapter of his career.”

Kerr, 23, made a combined 114 appearances and registered 21 goals and three assists across all competitions since joining the First Team as a Homegrown Player on January 21, 2022. The Ajax, Ontario native made his professional debut against FC Dallas on February 26, 2022, and registered his first MLS goal against New York City FC on April 24. In 2024, Kerr became the first player in Toronto FC history to score four goals in a single competitive match during the 8-1 victory over CS Saint-Laurent in the quarter-final second leg of the Canadian Championship.

Kerr represented Toronto FC Academy in the U.S. Soccer Development Academy (USSDA) competition, scoring 14 goals and registering nine assists in the 2019-20 season. He originally joined the Toronto FC Academy on November 17, 2018.
