Jordan Perruzza Release

Toronto FC announced today the club has signed forward Jordan Perruzza as a Homegrown Player, becoming the 24th player in club history to sign for the first team from the Toronto FC Academy. Perruzza will join Toronto FC’s roster when his contract becomes effective on January 1, 2021.

“Jordan is a talented young striker that we are excited to add to the first team,” said Toronto FC General Manager Ali Curtis. “Last year, he was excellent with TFC II. He’s aggressive, skillful with the ball, and has a knack for scoring goals.”

Perruzza, 19, spent the past two seasons with Toronto FC II, where he made 28 appearances with 17 goals and two assists. During the 2019 season, he led the club in goals scored with 15 and was second in goals scored in USL League One. In addition, Perruzza was nominated for USL League One Young Player of the Year and was selected to the 2019 USL “20 Under 20.”

Perruzza made his professional debut on September 16, 2018, against FC Cincinnati and scored his first goal on October 5, 2018, against Louisville City FC. He originally joined the Toronto FC Academy in January of 2013.

Internationally, Perruzza represented the U-20 Canada National Team at the 2018 Concacaf Men’s Under-20 Championship.
