Toronto FC announced today that the club has sent defender Adam Pearlman on loan to Cavalry FC of the Canadian Premier League (CPL) for the remainder of the 2026 season.
Pearlman, 20, signed a First Team contract as a Homegrown player on February 24, 2024, becoming the 33rdplayer in club history to sign for the First Team from the Toronto FC Academy. He spent the 2025 season on loan with Halifax Wanderers FC (CPL), where he recorded two goals and two assists in 28 appearances (all starts) across all competitions (Canadian Premier League, CPL Playoffs, Canadian Championship). He made his debut for HFX Wanderers against Atlético Ottawa on April 5, 2025 and scored his first professional goal against Cavalry FC on September 13, 2025. Prior to his time with Halifax, Pearlman signed a short-term loan with TFC and made his club debut as a substitute against St. Louis City SC on July 8, 2023. The Maple, Ontario native previously spent three seasons with Toronto FC II, making 72 appearances including his professional debut against New York City FC II on April 10, 2022. Pearlman originally joined the TFC Academy in October 2016 before signing with TFC II on April 8, 2022.
