Toronto FC II Sign Luca Petrasso

Toronto FC II announced today that the club has re-signed defender Luca Petrasso to a USL contract. He will be joining the roster pending league and federation approval.

“The club is very excited to bring Luca back into the project. He has been working very close with the first team over the last few months in preseason and in Florida,” said Toronto FC II head coach Mike Munoz. “He brings a wealth of experience in the professional game as a young professional and we look forward to continue developing him into a top young prospect”

Petrasso, 20, spent the past three seasons with Toronto FC II, appearing in 35 matches and scoring two goals since joining the team. He signed with the Young Reds on March 15, 2018, and made his professional debut on April 26, 2018, against the Richmond Kickers. He also represented Toronto FC U-18/19 in the U.S. Soccer Development Academy (USSDA) competition in 2018 and 2019, making three appearances in total. Petrasso originally joined the Toronto FC Academy on January 12, 2013.
