Who: Toronto FC II (1-16-3) vs. Richmond Kickers (5-13-3)
When: Sunday, August 12. 2018. 7:30 PM
Where: BMO Field
Toronto FC II are back home and looking to get back in the win column as they play host to the Richmond Kickers on Sunday night at BMO Field. The game is part of a doubleheader with the first team taking on NYCFC at 4:00 PM. A ticket to the first team game gets you in for the late show.
TFC II is coming off a tough 1-0 defeat at the hands of the Pittsburgh Riverhounds. The Reds were unlucky to walk away empty-handed last weekend as a late goal from Neco Brett stole away a point from the Young Reds.
Richmond comes into Sunday’s match struggling, going winless in their last five matches. The team has been poor defensively conceding 15 goals over that 5 game stretch. They currently sit in 14th place in the East, with a 5-13-3 record. The Kickers have struggled away from Richmond going 1-8-0 on the road.
The two sides last met in late April with the Kickers walking away with a 2-1 victory. Aidan Daniels scored early for the Reds but Richmond equalized shortly after and took the victory on an unfortunate TFC II own goal.
Two Kickers to key in on are Brian Shriver and Yudai Imura. Shriver leads the team in both goals and assists, picking up 6 of each, well Imura scored in the last meeting between the two sides.
Kickoff at BMO is set for 7:30 PM. As mentioned a ticket for the first team game gets you into the TFC II match. Or you can purchase a standalone TFC II ticket at the link above.
