Toronto FC II sign midfielder Ife Adenuga to short-term agreement

Toronto FC II announced today that the club has signed midfielder Ife Adenuga to a short-term MLS NEXT Pro contract. TFC II retains an exercise option for the remainder of the 2023 and the 2024 MLS NEXT Pro seasons respectively. He will be added to the club’s roster pending league and federation approval.

Adenuga, 20, most recently played for Sigma FC, where he scored one goal in one appearance during the 2023 League1 Ontario regular season. He previously spent time with SC Fortuna Köln U19 of the Regionalliga West (Fourth Division, Germany) in 2022, where he made three appearances including his debut against Arminia Bielefeld U19 on March 5, 2022.

Adenuga originally joined the TFC Academy in February 2015 after spending four years playing with Brampton Youth Soccer Club. He represented the Toronto FC Academy across the U-12 to U-17 age groups from 2015 to 2019. Adenuga was part of the TFC Academy U-12 team that won the Generation adidas Cup in 2015 and the U-16 team that lifted the Dallas Cup in 2019.
