Toronto FC II (10W-11L-4T, 36 points) recorded a come-from-behind 2-1 victory over FC Cincinnati 2 (5W-19L-2T, 19 points) on Friday evening, courtesy of goals in either half from Damar Dixon and Bryce Boneau at York Lions Stadium.
Toronto FC II Head Coach Gianni Cimini made three changes from their 2-0 win over New York City FC II last Friday with Marko Stojadinovic, Stefan Kapor and Damar Dixon coming in for Daniel Stampatori, Richard Chukwu and Fletcher Bank.
TFC II and FC Cincinnati 2 capitalized on early chances by getting on the scoresheet within the opening 20 minutes. Cincinnati opened the scoring in the 15th minute when Stefan Chirila’s touch fell to Cheikhou Niang, who blasted his effort into the back of the net to give the visitors an early lead.
The Young Reds responded just five minutes later following a sustained spell of possession. On the play, Jahmarie Nolan raced onto Bryce Boneau’s slipped pass and saw his initial effort saved by goalkeeper Connor Dale, but the rebound fell kindly to Damar Dixon, who slotted home from close range to draw his side level.
The 20th minute equalizer marked the Canadian winger’s fifth goal of the 2026 MLS NEXT Pro season.
The Young Reds responded just five minutes later after a sustained spell of possession. The 49th minute strike marked Boneau’s sixth goal contribution of the 2026 MLS NEXT Pro season (two goals and four assists), while Stojadinovic recorded his first assist of the campaign.
The Young Reds remained composed for the remainder of Friday evening’s encounter, holding onto their one-goal lead despite coming close to extending their advantage. Goalkeeper Adisa De Rosario produced an important save in the 89th minute to deny Nathan Gray from close range, as the hosts held firm to secure all three points in consecutive league matches.
