Toronto FC II (8W-10L-3T, 28 points) recorded an emphatic 4-2 road win against Chicago Fire FC II (8W-7L-6T, 33 points) on Monday afternoon, courtesy of Tristan Blyth’s first-half brace along with late goals from Elias Khodri and Jahmarie Nolan at SeatGeek Stadium.

TFC II opened the scoring midway through the opening half when Elias Khodri’s cut-back was redirected into the path of Tristan Blyth, who made no mistake with a powerful finish beyond Chicago goalkeeper Jason Nemo Jr.

The 24th minute opener marked Blyth’s second goal of the 2026 MLS NEXT Pro campaign, after the TFC Academy product opened his professional account earlier in the season against Philadelphia Union II on May 29.
The Young Reds doubled their lead shortly before half-time when Shyon Pinnock held up a long pass from goalkeeper Adisa De Rosario before laying the ball off to Blyth, who unleashed an unstoppable strike from distance that flew in off the underside of the crossbar.
The first-half stoppage-time strike marked the first brace of Blyth’s professional career, while Pinnock registered his first assist for Toronto FC II.
Chicago Fire FC II then responded moments before the half-time whistle with a well-worked goal of their own, as Damyan Villanueva took two clever touches from Damian Nigg’s low cross before blasting home to cut Toronto’s lead to 2-1 heading into the interval.
The hosts drew level twelve minutes into the second half when Adisa De Rosario denied Vitaliy Hlyut with a low save before Tidiane Diawara tapped home the rebound to make it 2-2.
Both Eastern Conference clubs pushed for a late breakthrough in the closing 20 minutes. Chicago’s Jack Sandmeyer saw a pair of efforts in quick succession saved by Adisa De Rosario and blocked by Marko Stojadinovic on the goal line, before Jason Nemo Jr. was on hand at the other end to deny Bryce Boneau’s well-struck effort off Diego Nué-Brito’s neat set-up four minutes later.
The Young Reds’ pressure paid off late when Elias Khodri’s tenacity dispossessed Chicago’s Chase Nagle before calmly slotting home from close-range.
The 89th minute effort marked the French attacker’s fourth goal and fifth goal contribution of the 2026 MLS NEXT Pro season.
TFC II added a fourth and final goal deep into stoppage time when Dékwon Barrow’s perfectly timed tackle fell into the path of Jahmarie Nolan, who beat his defender before unleashing a ferocious strike beyond a stationary Jason Nemo Jr. in Chicago’s goal.
The 95th minute strike marked a team-leading 11th goal contribution of the season for the Jamaican striker (eight goals, three assists), while Barrow registered his first assist for TFC II, as the late goals sealed all three points for the Young Reds in a 4-2 victory in Bridgeview, Illinois.
