Toronto FC players are off to a winning start in Round 3 of CONCACAF World Cup Qualifying matches.

In Cuba, midfielder Julian de Guzman played 69 minutes for Canada in a 1-0 win over the host country. Germany-based forward Olivier Occean scored the only goal of the match at the 54th minute. Toronto defender Ashtone Morgan was an unused substitute in the Canadian cause.

Forward Ryan Johnson enjoyed a very memorable night, scoring what stood to be the winning goal for Jamaica that helped the Reggae Boyz top Guatemala 2-1 at Independence Park in Kingston.

Johnson finished from the top of the six-yard box a minute into the second half and was substituted after putting in an 86-minute performance.

Canada sits second in Group C with Panama leading on goal difference. Jamaica enjoys the same spot in Group A behind the United States after the first set of matches in Round 3. Top two teams from each group will advance to the final phase of qualifying ahead of Brazil 2014.

Canada hosts Honduras at BMO Field on June 12 (Tickets) while Jamaica visits Antigua and Barbuda in final games before all internationals report back to the new Kia Training Ground at Downsview Park.
