Toronto FC II (8W-10L-4T, 30 points) secured a dramatic 2-2 draw against against Chattanooga FC (11W-5L-7T, 44 points) on Friday evening, courtesy of goals from Jahmarie Nolan and Damar Dixon, before claiming the extra point in a 5-4 shootout win at York Lions Stadium.
Toronto FC II Head Coach Gianni Cimini made five changes from the starting eleven that defeated Chicago Fire FC II on Monday with Gabriel Mikina, Richard Chukwu, Fletcher Bank, Dékwon Barrow and Jahmarie Nolan coming in for Stefan Kapor, Micah Chisholm, Lucas Dawson, Shyon Pinnock and Elias Khodri.
TFC II opened the scoring early when Fletcher Bank’s cross from the left flank was punched clear by Chattanooga goalkeeper Eldin Jakupović, with Jahmarie Nolan controlling the loose ball before emphatically volleying home to make it 1-0.
The 11th minute opener marked a team-leading 12th goal contribution of the 2026 MLS NEXT Pro season for Nolan (nine goals, three assists), who recently returned after finishing second in the Golden Boot race with four goals at the Concacaf U-20 Championship.
Chattanooga FC equalized with a well-worked goal of their own, as Daniel Mangarov’s cross from the left wing was met by a precise header from Alexander Krehl in the 24th minute.
Both Eastern Conference clubs created goalscoring opportunities throughout the second half, with the visitors’ pressure paying off in the 82nd minute when Luke Husakiwsky’s cross was directed toward goal by Farid Sar-Sar.
The Young Reds’ resilient spirit, however, carried through to the final whistle, as a pair of substitutes combined in stoppage time with Damar Dixon heading home Luca Costabile’s cross to level the score at 2-2.
The 94th minute equalizer marked Dixon’s fourth goal and Costabile’s second assist of the 2026 MLS NEXT Pro campaign and sent the Friday night showdown into an MLS NEXT Pro shootout.
Jahmarie Nolan, Damar Dixon, Lucas Dawson, Luca Costabile and Marko Stojadinovic all converted from 12 yards for the hosts, while goalkeeper Adisa De Rosario’s save on Yuval Cohen’s effort proved to be the difference as TFC II claimed the extra point with a 5-4 shootout victory.
