Day 3: Salvation Army Provides

The Salvation Army, in partnership with the Bloor Central Soccer Club (BCSC) provides youth living in the west side of Toronto the ability to get active each week. For only five dollars, neighborhood youth can participate in a summer-long soccer league. With this program each participant receives a team jersey, soccer lesson prior to each game, and half time snacks.

This week marked Salvation Army’s end of the year BBQ, where athletes played their final game, enjoyed fantastic food, and were awarded medals. Toronto FC Goalkeeper Stefan Frei was on hand to help with the festivities, signing autographs and encouraging youth to test their skills at the TFC speed zone.

Toronto FC would like to thank the Salvation Army for inviting us to the BBQ and sharing their story about this special program.
