Toronto FC forward Prince Owusu has been named to the Major League Soccer (MLS) Team of the Matchday 9 following his performance off the bench in the Reds’ 3-2 road loss against Charlotte FC this past Saturday.

Entering the match at the start of the second half, Prince Owusu made an instant impact when he tapped home Federico Bernardeschi’s low cross to equalize for the Reds in the 49th minute. Owusu then doubled his tally for the night when he converted Jahkeele Marshall-Rutty’s cross for TFC’s second equalizer in the 78th minute. The performance marked Owusu’s first brace for Toronto FC and the German’s Matchday 9 selection as a substitute marks his first-ever MLS Team of the Matchday honour.
