Last week, between training sessions at Kia Training Ground, players from Toronto FC took time to visit youth in the community.

Justin Morrow visited with students at Lillian Public School to help support their participation in the Ontario Library Association’s ‘Forest of Reading’ program.

Morrow, a graduate of the University of Notre Dame, understands the importance of education in the lives of youth, and was able to speak to the impact it has had on his life.

The weekly program at the school includes a reading session from a special guest and helps promote Canadian authors, illustrators and publishers. During his visit, Justin read to the students, and also talked to the kids about his personal experiences in school and in sport.

Nick Hagglund and Chris Konopka paid a visit to Highview Public School in support of TFC’s Learn to Kick soccer development program.

The Learn to Kick program is an entry level soccer development program that is designed to introduce and improve the basic skills of soccer and to create a love for the game among youth in the Toronto area.

Nick and Chris shared their stories on how they started playing soccer and answered questions from the kids.
