Three Keys to the Match: Toronto FC at San Jose Earthquakes

SJ Three Keys 2018

On the West Coast to take on the Quakes. Here are the Benjamin Moore Three to the Match.
Championship Form

The Reds are riding into California on a high after yet another Voyageurs Cup triumph.

With a comprehensive 5-2 victory of the Vancouver Whitecaps on Wednesday night, Toronto FC claimed the Canadian Championship for the third straight season and seventh in team history. TFC will look to build on that momentum as they continue their pursuit of the playoffs.

Bottom Feeders

The 2018 season has seen its fair share of ups and downs for Toronto FC, but it’s been far less kind to the San Jose Earthquakes.

With just three wins on the season, the Quakes have struggled to build any sort of consistency, even at home. If the Reds are to make a late season push for the playoffs, this is a game in which they’ll need to find a way to earn a result.

Debut by the Bay

As the 2018 season heads into its final stages, some reinforcements have arrived for Toronto FC.

Saturday night’s match will mark the first appearance for newly-signed Lucas Janson. The 24-year-old forward will look to make his mark in a side that will be without the suspended Jozy Altidore.
