Canada Soccer Announces 2018 Canadian Championship Schedule

The Canadian Soccer Association announced Thursday the complete schedule for the 2018 Canadian Championship. Toronto FC will begin its title defence in the semi-final round on Wednesday, July 18 when they travel to face the winners of the second qualifying round (see pairings below). The second leg of the semi-final will be played in Toronto on Wednesday, July 25.

The 2018 Canadian Championship will mark the 11th time this tournament has been contested. The winner is presented the Voyageurs Cup and earns a place in the 2019 CONCACAF Champions League and opportunity to win a spot in the FIFA Club World Cup. Toronto FC has won the Voyageurs Cup six times (2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2016, 2017). Last year, Toronto FC forward Sebastian Giovinco was awarded the George Gross Memorial Trophy as the tournament's most valuable player.
