Match Recap: TFC 1, OTT 2

Toronto FC got off to an ideal start in the first game of their Canadian Championship defense, but it all went sideways in the second half.

Benoit Cheyrou scored to earn a 1-0 halftime lead over Ottawa Fury. But a series of self-inflicted wounds by the Reds allowed the USL side to climb back into the game and eventually snatch a 2-1 win at TD Place Stadium in the first leg of their semifinal tie.

Ryan Williams (from the penalty spot) and Sito Seoane scored for the hosts, who now have a lead to defend in the second leg at BMO Field next week.
