- Friday’s match marks the earliest return to BMO Field since the 2014 season after consecutive eight-game road trips to start the 2015 and 2016 seasons.
- Both teams will have players returning from national team duty on a short week’s rest. Michael Bradley (180), Jozy Altidore (172), and Armando Cooper (180) put in significant minutes with the United States and Panama, leaving Greg Vanney with a decision to make as to their usage come Friday night.
