Toronto FC II Signs Mark Pais

Toronto FC II announced Tuesday that the club has signed goalkeeper Mark Pais.


“Improving our defensive group for TFC II has been a top priority for us as we head into the 2017 USL regular season,” said Toronto FC II Head Coach Jason Bent. “Mark worked hard throughout the preseason with both the first team and Toronto FC II and will continue to train with both teams. Mark has been a welcome addition to the club and we are pleased to finalize the deal.”


Pais, 25, most recently spent the past two seasons (2015 and 2016) with Saint Louis FC of the United Soccer League (USL) where he appeared in a total of 33 matches. During his college career, he split time between the University of Tulsa and Saint Louis University. With the Saint Louis Billikens, he appeared in 19 matches starting in 15 recording five clean sheets. He then transferred to the University of Tulsa and appeared in 21 career matches registering eight clean sheets for the Golden Hurricane.
