The United States cruised past Saint Vincent and the Grenadines on Friday afternoon, coasting to a 6-0 win and all but cementing their place in the hexagonal round of CONCACAF World Cup qualifying.

In the process Jozy Altidore made history. The Toronto FC striker recorded the third goal of the game from the penalty spot, his fourth in five games for the national team and also moved past one of the all-time U.S. greats.

It was also Altidore's 14th goal in World Cup qualifying, tying him for first place with Clint Dempsey. The United States takes on Trinidad & Tobago on Tuesday in Jacksonville. TFC captain Michael Bradley is expected to suit up for that clash after being suspended for Friday's match due to yellow card accumulation.
