TFC II vs NYRB II

Toronto FC II opened their 2016 USL regular season campaign with a 2-2 draw against New York Red Bulls II at Red Bull Arena.

The Young Reds were lifted by a huge first half performance by goalkeeper Alex Bono. As the game developed following a flurry of key Bono saves, TFC began to find their feet.

An excellent combination play, started by right back Mark Bloom, culminated in a Raheem Edwards goal, with well worked passes from Sal Bernal and Mo Babouli.

Jason Bent’s side continued to press, and just before halftime Skylar Thomas made it 2-0 for Toronto FC II. The central defender showed touch better reserved for the forwards on this team.
