Toronto FC To Face Montreal Impact In 2016 Canadian Championship Semi-Finals

The Canadian Soccer Association announced Friday the complete schedule for the 2016 Amway Canadian Championship. Toronto FC will face the Montreal Impact in a two-leg semi-final match-up. The first leg will take place in Toronto on Wednesday, June 1 with the second leg in Montreal on Wednesday, June 8.

The 2016 Amway Canadian Championship will mark the ninth tournament in its history. Toronto FC won four consecutive Voyageurs Cups (2009 to 2012). Montreal Impact has won the tournament three times (2008, 2013, 2014).

The final legs will be played in the weeks of June 21 or 22 and June 28 or 29 (dates to be confirmed). The winner of the tournament will represent Canada in the 2017-18 CONCACAF Champions League.
