The votes have been tallied. We asked TFC supporters to put forward their starting XI for the season opener in Vancouver against the Whitecaps on March 7th.

The poll was fruitful. The backline looks similar to last year’s version, with Damien Perquis slotting in beside Steven Caldwell to form a reliable, veteran pair.

The midfield is a tantalizing one, with Michael Bradley, Benoit Cheyrou and Jonathan Osorio forming a versatile trifecta along with Sebastian Giovinco up top. 

Up front there’s Jozy Altidore and Robbie Findley.

Formation wise we’re looking at a few options, but most fans are expecting to see a 4-3-3 with the Reds employing a midfield diamond.
