Altidore records goal in U.S. loss

Jozy Altidore United States

The end result wasn’t what Jozy Altidore, Michael Bradley and the United States Men’s National Team was hoping for in Rancagua, Chile.

The U.S. fell 3-2 to Chile after taking a 2-1 lead into halftime. Toronto FC’s Altidore registered his 26th national team goal in the 31st minute with a tidy strike into the bottom left corner of goal. Mix Diskerud’s ridiculous no-look pass made the goal possible.

Bradley overcame a difficult first half, in which TFC’s general didn’t register a pass attempt until the 19th minute thanks to Chile’s excellent game plan.

He was a difference maker in the second stanza, and almost recorded an incredible goal from long-distance.

The U.S. will take on Panama at the StubHub Center in Carson, California on February 8th. Following that game Bradley and Altidore will join their TFC teammates at training camp in Toronto.
