Osorio Wins Goal Of The Week

It may have come in part because of a goalkeeping error, but Jonathan Osorio's well-taken goal from distance for Toronto FC this past weekend was a thing of beauty.

Osorio scored for the second time this season in Toronto FC's 2-1 loss to the New York Red Bulls this past Saturday after a failed clearance by New York Red Bulls goalkeeper Luis Robles allowed the Toronto midfielder to collect the ball and deliver an inch-perfect chip over a leaping Jamison Olave but just underneath the crossbar.

The shot from distance may not have saved the Reds from defeat, but it did go on to claim the AT&T Goal of the Week award for Week 9.

Osorio narrowly edged out Andres Romero's curler in the Montreal Impact's 2-0 victory over the Chicago Fire, winning the vote by a narrow 1.8 percent.
