Toronto FC’s return leg in the Champions League quarterfinals against LA Galaxy will have Roberto Moreno of Panama as the referee.

On Friday, CONCACAF announced an all-Panamanian crew will preside over the CCL match with assistants Daniel Williamson, Jaime Smith and fourth official Jafeth Perea to aid Moreno.

The referee was in charge of four games during the group stage of the 2011/12 Champions League. Moreno doled out a 19 cautions in those games and another resulted in a red card to Municipal’s Eliseo Quintanilla back on July 28 against Motagua.

In his last CCL match on October 18, Moreno booked eight players, five from Costa Rica-based Alajuelense and another three from eventual 2-1 winner Morelia of Mexico.

Wednesday’s match will be broadcast live on Sportsnet One at 10 p.m. ET. The club will be hosting a viewing party at Real Sports Bar & Grill at Maple Leaf Square in downtown Toronto.

GOL TV Canada will have a live pregame show a half hour prior to kickoff and Toronto FC TV will have player and coach interviews in the days leading up to Wednesday.

After drawing 2-2 at home, Toronto must beat LA or draw by at least three goals apiece during regulation time in order to advance to the semifinals of the Champions League.
