On Monday, Sport Chek Train with Toronto FC contest came to fruition for winner Liliana Holden and 21 kids from West Toronto FC.

Holden brought a group of U8 and U10 kids from WTFC to Lamport Stadium where the kids were put through drills by goalkeepers Stefan Frei and Milos Kocic. Further aiding the kids’ education were defenders Richard Eckersley and Danleigh Borman.

Everyone agreed that it’s best that the TFC keeper does not pursue a post-playing career in officiating.

“The kids had an awesome time,” said Holden of the experience. “They are still talking about it and pictures and albums have been posted all over. I’m glad I entered the contest for the opportunity and all the stuff the kids got. It was great.”

The kids took photos and received autographs at Lamport before the group headed over to BMO Field for a guided tour and reception.

Toronto FC and its players thank Sport Chek, Liliana Holden and West Toronto FC for a memorable day.
