The Beautiful Game At Firgrove

Firgrove Public School took part in Toronto FC Community Clinics.

Toronto FC Community had its fifth and final Community Clinic at Firgrove Public School on Thursday June 2nd. Sixty students ranging from grades 2-5 had been participating in early morning training sessions organized by Toronto FC staff over the past five weeks.  The clinic gave the kids of Firgrove the opportunity to learn basic soccer skills and play games for an hour each Thursday from 7:45 a.m.

Community Clinics will continue until the end of the school year and start up again after the summer break.  The aim of this program is to expose students around the GTA to the beautiful game and use soccer as a tool to educate youth on leadership, teamwork and active living.

We would like to thank Firgrove Public School for being our pilot school for this program.
