Warm Up For Home Opener at Yonge-Dundas

Stefan Frei (in video above) won’t be the only one present at Yonge-Dundas Square. On Thursday, March 24 at 5 p.m., the Swiss goalkeeper and most of his teammates will be on hand at the Toronto FC Kickoff presented by Carlsberg.

The event is free to the public and is a chance to meet and greet all the new faces that the BMO Field faithful will be cheering on in 2011 as the Reds start a new era under head coach Aron Winter.

Fans will be able to take pictures with the players and speak to them about the upcoming season just two days ahead of the home opener on Saturday (v. Portland at 2 p.m. on TSN).

The event will also feature several giveaways and a very special contest courtesy of Carlsberg that will be revealed at Yonge-Dundas Square. Those attending on Thursday should look for staff clad in GOL TV Canada/Carlsberg t-shirts for details on event prizes, which include official Toronto FC jerseys and tickets to the upcoming match against the Los Angeles Galaxy on April 13.

See you at Yonge-Dundas Square on Thursday.
