TFC Youth In Canada Final

The CONCACAF U17 Final takes place Sunday night at 7 p.m. from Jamaica, where Canada has a chance to secure some bragging rights against its chief soccer rival, the United States.

The match will be streamed live on
Concacaf TV
- where the only thing a viewer has to do is create an account. The stream is free and requires a suprisingly quick and painless process of entering an email address, a password and checking off a couple of boxes.

Canada's story in this tournament is impressive, outscoring its opponents 11-0 in four matches (bulk of the goals coming in an 8-0 drubbing of Barbados) on its way to face the U.S. This is Canada's first trip to the final of the biennial tournament, and its best showing since 1994 when it finished third.

Toronto FC supporters can take a lot of pride as a group of young Reds have featured heavily in Canada's success. Keven Aleman and Michael Petrasso have three goals each and it was Petrasso's run in the semifinal against Panama that led to the corner on which Canada tallied for a 1-0 victory.

Aleman scored the second goal for Canada in a 2-0 quarterfinal victory over Trinidad & Tobago, a win that secured a berth in the 2011 FIFA U-17 World Cup in Mexico.

Here are the four Toronto FC Academy players that have featured often for Canada. Backup keeper Xander Huggins and forward Dylan Carreiro are also on the Canadian squad. According to Academy director Stuart Neely, four other TFC players were unavailable for national duty due to injury.
