Saric Traveling With Team

Toronto FC’s Argentine midfielder Martin Saric took full part in Toronto FC’s training session at BMO Field on Thursday and will travel with the team to Los Angeles for Saturday’s match against Chivas USA (kick off 10:30 p.m. ET  live on GOLTV Canada).

Saric has been out of action since picking up a hamstring strain in the goalless draw at Cruz Azul in the CONCACAF Champions League on September 21.

Toronto FC could be mathematically eliminated from playoff contention before Saturday’s match if San Jose Earthquakes get a point at D.C. United earlier in the day, but Iinterim Head Coach Nick Dasovic says the mood remains good within the squad.

“The players have been bubbly and lively in training,” said Dasovic. “We are in the position we are in and we can’t change that. We have got to get on with it and it is a good test for some of the players’ character to see how they bounce back following the two losses we have had.”

“It’s been good that we have been scoring goals but we have been leaking too many at the back and hopefully the boys can repair that damage.”

It is still to be decided if Spanish striker Mista will make the flight to the West Coast. “He had a light session today but he is still questionable to travel. We will make the decision later this afternoon,” explained the coach.
