Reds 'Going For It' In Seattle

Toronto FC’s players were back at BMO Field on Wednesday morning for a recovery session following the 1-1 tie at home to Real Salt Lake in the CONCACAF Champions League on Tuesday.

Players who started the match went for a run along the lake shore and members of the squad who didn’t play the full game trained at Cherry Beach. The team will be back on the training pitch at Cherry Beach on Thursday before leaving for Seattle later in the day.

“As a player Seattle is a fun place to play with a great crowd,” said Toronto FC interim head coach Nick Dasovic. “We have got nothing to lose now so we will just have to go for it. I am looking forward to the challenge.”

Midfielder Joseph Nane is currently rated questionable with an ankle strain. Martin Saric continues his recovery from a hamstring injury and did some light running at BMO Field early on Wednesday afternoon.

The match against the Sounders kicks off at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, live on CBC. Seattle are in action tonight in the CONCACAF Champions League tonight at home to Marathon of Honduras.
