Nane & Saric Remain Sidelined

Toronto FC will again be without midfield duo Joseph Nane and Martin Saric for tomorrow’s crucial CONCACAF Champions League match at home to Real Salt Lake.

The duo missed training again on Monday at BMO Field with injuries picked up during the goalless draw against Cruz Azul in Mexico last week. Fuad Ibrahim is also unavailable for the match due to suspension.

“We are going to stay as positive as we can,” said Toronto FC interim head coach Nick Dasovic. “We have got a really tough game against Real Salt Lake and we have prepared for it today. Hopefully we have got enough in the locker to get a good result tomorrow because it is a big game for the club. If we win it, we stay alive in the competition and give ourselves a chance of making it to the final 16 which would be a great honour.”

“I told the players this morning that they have given me what I asked for when I took over and that is a sense of pride playing for the shirt and not to quit.”

“Energy levels are a question mark but we will play a strong team. We will have to see how the guys feel before making some last minute decisions on team selection,” explained Dasovic.

Tickets are still available for the match at BMO Field. Kick off is 8:00 p.m. live on GOLTV Canada.
