Mista To Make Bolton Debut

Toronto FC coach Preki confirmed that Spanish striker Mista will make his debut tomorrow night when the Reds face Bolton Wanderers in the Carlsberg Cup international friendly at BMO Field. Mista will play at least 45 minutes in the match.

Ty Harden was forced to leave the training session with an injury. Nana Attakora missed training with what Preki described as “a minor problem with his toe,” but both Dan Gargan and Martin Saric are making good progress as they recover from injuries.

Five Academy players trained with the first team on Tuesday and may be included in the squad to face Bolton. Doneil Henry, Nicholas Lindsay, Oscar Cordon, Matt Stinson and Brennan McNicoll all took part in the session.

“It will be a fun game against Bolton tomorrow night,” said Coach Preki. “It is an opportunity for some players to play and for us to maybe look at some guys from the Academy.”
