Toronto 1-0 New England - MLS Week 9

Toronto is just two points behind New York for second place in the Eastern Conference after a 1-0 win over New England.

Chad Barrett scored the winner, his third goal of the season, from a 53rd minute header swung in by Sam Cronin. 

Prior to the match, Toronto was hit by news that defensive anchor Nana Attakora was sidelined due to a hip flexor injury, joining Julian de Guzman (hamstring) and Dwayne De Rosario (international duty) as inactive players.

New England's Shalrie Josepn made a surprise return to his team's lineup after many had though he was still ineligible to play in Major League Soccer.
