Los Angeles 0-0 Toronto - MLS Week 8

Toronto took on the unbeaten Los Angeles Galaxy in Carson on Saturday, May 15 and earned their first road win in a scoreless draw.

The Reds had an early chance to grab an unexpected lead via Dwayne De Rosario, but failed to capitalize. Chad Barrett got behind the Los Angeles backline several times and drew a caution from their defender Omar Gonzalez, when it looked as though Barrett was through on goal but for the Galaxy centre back bringing him down.

LA hit the crossbar via Edson Buddle and were stopped at the doorstep in stoppage time on three occasions by Stefan Frei. First Mike Magee was stopped at the 92nd minute when it looked as though he handled the ball on way to take his shot. Landon Donovan drew a second yellow from Maxim Usanov and from the resulting free kick at the 95th minute, Frei stopped Magee again before denying Todd Dunivant on the rebound to preserve the draw.
