There was a new face on the pitch when Toronto FC's players began their time in Bradenton, Florida with a double training session on Tuesday. The Reds fourth round SuperDraft pick Nane Joseph joined the team for the first time.

The midfielder was picked 53rd overall by TFC Director of Soccer Mo Johnston from Old Dominion University and he is determined to make an impact at the Reds' training camp.

"For me, I am here to stay," the 22-year-old told Toronto FC TV. "I am not just here do the camp and go back. I'm very strong and physical and I want to prove that I am good enough to belong to the team."

Last season Joseph was a member of the NSCAA Second Team All-American, and a 2009 First Team All-CAA. The native of Cameroon was spotted at a trial in his home country by ODU coach Alan Dawson.

"Originally I am from Cameroon and down there I was going to school and playing soccer at the same time," explained Joseph. "My coach back at ODU wanted some college players and he went down to Cameroon and I got contacted to have a trial. The coach watched me play and he asked me to move to the United States to play soccer and go to school."

During his college years, Joseph also played with the Hampton Road Piranhas in the United Soccer League Premier Developmental League.
