Kia Cup Jozy Altidore

About KIA Cup

This year, with the help of our founding partner, Kia Canada, Toronto FC and Kia successfully hosted the 6th annual Kia Cup. This year’s tournament focused on athletes selected by their local soccer clubs that have recently joined their development programs. Sixteen U10 soccer teams, eight male and eight female, were invited along with their families, to a one of a kind soccer experience where each team participated in two non-competitive games at BMO Training Grounds, Toronto FC’s professional training facility.

Activations such as an inflatable sport obstacle course, face painting, live music, a BBQ lunch and facility tour of BMO Training Grounds, that included Toronto FC’s locker room, were all provided free of charge by Toronto FC and Kia to athletes and families. Toronto FC also surprised participants as a few players such as Drew Moore and Jozy Altidore stopped by to welcome families and sign autographs. At the end of the day each player walked away with a Toronto FC Athlete Participant Package, a Kia Cup trophy and an experience they will never forget. More importantly, more than 400 members of our community were able to come together and play the game they love in a fun, safe and welcoming environment.

Thank you again to all the coaches, teams and families that participated in making the 2018 Kia Cup a fantastic day!
