The 2017 USL Regular Season scheduled was released on Tuesday and the season is just a month and a half away. In the meantime, here are six dates you should already be excited about.
March 25, 2017 – Season Opener – at Phoenix Rising FC
The young Reds will open up their third USL season against a new look Phoenix Rising FC as part of the 2017 USL Kickoff. There will be a lot of anticipation ahead of the game for both sides. Phoenix Rising FC just recently submitted their application for MLS expansion and will be looking to impress in front of the home crowd.
April 7, 2017 – Home Opener – vs. Rochester Rhinos
The young Reds will open up their 2017 home schedule against a very familiar face in the Rochester Rhinos. The Ontario Soccer Centre should be packed for the opener. The young Reds battled to a 1-1-1 record against their rivals from across Lake Ontario
April 22, 2017 – First All-Canadian Match Up – at Ottawa Fury FC
The first matchup between Toronto FC II and Ottawa Fury FC will happen at TD Place Stadium. It will be the Fury’s first home game as a USL team after their move from the NASL this offseason. To add fuel to the new rivalry the Fury are also the Montreal Impact’s USL affiliate…
July 8, 2017 – Ottawa at the OSA – vs. Ottawa Fury FC
The battle of Ontario will make its OSC debut just after Canada Day. You won't want to miss this one.
September 9, 2017 – NYRB II at BMO – vs. New York Red Bulls II
The Reds will play their second match of the season at BMO Field (first one is May 13) against the defending USL champions the New York Red Bulls II. NYRB II will be a good measuring stick of the young Reds late in the season.
October 14, 2017 – Season Finale – vs. FC Cincinnati
The young Reds will close out their 2017 season against a powerful FC Cincinnati side. Another MLS hopeful, FC Cincinnati fields a very strong side and it could be a crucial game for both teams with potential playoff implications.
