Bradley and Altidore Called Into United States National Team

Toronto FC midfielder Michael Bradley and forward Jozy Altidore were named to United States Head Coach Jürgen Klinsmann’s 27-man roster for a pair of 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifying matches. The U.S. will meet Saint Vincent and the Grenadines on Friday, September 2 at Arnos Vale Stadium in Kingstown, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines and then host Trinidad and Tobago on Tuesday, September 6 at EverBank Field in Jacksonville, Florida.


Bradley, 29, has appeared in 16 matches, registering three assists for Toronto FC this season and was named to the MLS Team of the Week for Week 8. Bradley has earned 121 caps and scored 15 goals for the United States national team. He most recently represented the U.S. in the 2016 Copa América Centenario. Bradley will miss the first match against Saint Vincent and the Grenadines due to suspension for yellow card accumulation.    


Altidore, 26, has appeared in 15 matches, registering four goals and three assists for Toronto FC this season and was named to the MLS Team of the Week for Week 24. Altidore as earned 93 caps and scored 34 goals for the United States national team.
