Match Recap: TFC 2, ORL 3

Toronto FC lost their starting goalkeeper and best player to injury late in the game, and then was stunned by a penalty in the final minute of stoppage time in what ended up being a shocking 3-2 road loss to Orlando City SC in Camping World Stadium Saturday night.

Toronto FC had thought it escaped with a draw after Justin Morrow scored in the 90th minute to tie the score, 2-2. But with a second-half water break and the injury to Toronto goalie Clint Irwin, there was plenty of stoppage time, and in the eighth minute of stoppage, Toronto's Drew Moor was called for pulling down Julio Baptista in the box. The referee pointed to the spot, and -- after Toronto's Josh Williams was shown a red card for arguing -- Kaka blasted the penalty into the roof of the net in the 100th minute of play to give Orlando the win.

Orlando dominated the first half, with Kaka spraying passes all over the field and creating chances left and right. CyleLarin finished a gorgeous diagonal pass from Kevin Molino to put the Lions up in the fifth minute, and Orlando had more opportunities than that, with Toronto keeper Clint Irwin coming off his line to prevent a shot by Molino in the 15th minute. Irwin had to dive to his left to make a save on Kaka's shot in the 37th minute, and in the 38th, Irwin was saved by his goalpost, which got in the way of Larin's blast.

Toronto equalized just after halftime, though, on JordanHamilton's first career MLS goal in the 47th minute. Hamilton banged in a clinical left-footed strike after he was set up by a pretty side flick-on pass by Jonathan Osorio, who relayed a pass from JustinMorrow.

Irwin, who had been Toronto's best player in the game, went down as he took a goal kick in the 67th minute, forcing Toronto to bring on backup goalkeeper AlexBono in the 70th minute. Moments later, in the 74th minute, Orlando goalkeeper JoeBendik appeared to pull Hamilton down in the penalty box, but no penalty was called.

Orlando then took the lead in the 83rd minute when Molino chased down a loose ball near the end line and put a ball into the box that was headed in by Adrian Winter. But Toronto equalized again in the 90th minute, when Bendik parried away a sharp-angle shot by Sebastian Giovinco, but Morrow banged in the rebound.
